Historically this moment really occured. The French Revolution had begun and the crowd of Paris chosen to walk toward the castle. Marie Antoinette awoke because of the noise and refuged herself and her children in the king's bedroom. In front of the windows of the king's bedroom the people were infuriated and wanted to see the queen. Then she decided to face the crowd. She inclined herself several time on the balcony and finaly the French decided to hail their queen. (sorry for my english :lol: )
mm311, I know two children died, it is Lilou who thought it was only one. It is true, when Antoinette walked out onto the balcony to face the mob, she stood still, while the cursed at her and called her things, and after they were done, she curtsied and went back inside the room. That is when the mob started to praise her. Because she was not afraid of them. She was brave, and she was even braver when she faced the guillotine! VIVE' LA REIN ANTOINETTE!

Lafayette was actually with her and approached her of the coming crowd. Most were women though even men were dressed as women because the believed they would not be shot because they looked as women. And Lafayette, who had become a dear friend of Marie's, told her to face the crowd with bravery. She did so with great courage and he was out there as well, they both bowed and he kissed her hand and said "Vive la reine" which translates to "Long live the Queen" and this happened...I b...
