When she arrives in France and they take her dog away from her. :cry: Personally, I blame Marie's parents for her sadness and death. Yeah, I know they made stupid deals back then. But still. It was wrong. They sent her to France. And look what happened. I better hush. :-|

Maarie did get her dog back, it just doesn't show it in the movie. Silly writers. I think it was a fantastic alliance between Maria Therese and King Louis, and Toinette was very happy for a while in France. I love Marie but it was her frivolous attitude/extravagant spending and Louis' incompetence that caused their death. They were "Too young to rule"
