KIRSTEN NEWS
Probably the busiest month Kirsten has ever had!. Here's a round up of all the
Kirsten related news.
If It's Tuesday It Must Be Rome! = Kirsten, along with many of the cast of Spider-Man 3, went on one of the most demanding worldwide promotional schedules ever undertaken. In a fifteen day spell Kirsten attended 7 premieres, 4 photocalls, 4 After Parties, 2 press conferences, a press junket, and numerous TV and press interviews. Phew!. Kirsten wore a dazzling array of outfits at the various events and came up with a completely different appearance for each one. Amazing!.
Birthday Gal = On April 30th Kirsten reached the grand old age of 25. To 'celebrate' the occasion Kirsten appeared on two TV shows to promote Spider-Man 3, and also attended the films New York Premiere. Still we're sure the Party she attended afterwards to celebrate both her own and her grandmothers birthday was fun!.
Break In Japan = Kirsten travelled to Japan a few days earlier than the rest of the cast. After some solo promotional work for Spider-Man 3 she had a short holiday in Japan before travelling to Tokyo for the films World Premiere.
Cover Girl = Kirsten was featured on the May 2007 cover of Jane magazine, along with Spider-Man 3 co-star Bryce Dallas-Howard.
On Or Off? = There were numourous conflicting reports during April concerning Kirstens relationship with Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell. As usual most of these stories were complete fabrications, and our understanding is that the two of them are still together. Kirsten will be filming in London later this month so no doubt the media interest will intensify still further!.
MOVIE NEWS
Again one of the busiest months we can remember for movie related news
concerning Kirsten. Here's the details.
Spidey Goes Worldwide! = The promotional work for Spider-Man 3 went into overdrive in April. There were a mind numbing 9 premieres held, and massive amounts of press and television promotional work was undertaked by the main cast and crew of the film.
Spidey Goes Over Budget? = It has been rumoured that Spider-Man 3 is the most expensive film ever made with a total budget (including promotional work and advertising costs) of over $500 million. However executives at Sony have denied this figure stating it is actually much lower than that.
Spidey Released! = Spider-Man 3 goes on worldwide release over the 4 day period may 1st to May 4th. It's widely predicted that the film will have the biggest worldwide opening weekend box office ever and that the film will comfortably make it into the top ten highest grossing films of all time!. Let's hope the predictions are correct!.
Move Over Sofia! = Kirsten will be making her directorial debut in a short film scheduled to be made in August. This will be one of Glamour magazines "Reel Moments" series of short films made by women directors. The films are based on letters/stories submitted by Glamour magazine readers. Kirsten has chosen a ghost story and is writing a short screenplay based on it. Kirsten has mentioned that she hopes to get Michelle Williams, her co-star in the film Dick, to appear in the film. It's not clear at present whether Kirsten herself intends to appear in the film at all. Glamour magazine showcase this series of films on their website, and we are eagerly awaiting them adding this film!.
It should be pointed out that this film is in no way connected with "A Jealous Ghost". This film is still in it's early stages of development.
Kirsten Peggs It To London = Well after months of speculation about what Kirstens next film project will be we finally know the answer, and it was a totally unexpected one!. Kirsten is travelling to London later this month to appear in the film adaptation of Toby Young novel 'How To Lose Friends And Alienate People'. The film, a comedy, is based on the true life exploits of a British journalist who moved to New York in the mid 1990s to work for Vanity Fair magazine. Filming is scheduled to take place between May and July in London. British actor Simon Pegg, currently starring in the film "Hot Fuzz", will take the title role and Kirsten will play Alison, a fashion writer for Vanity Fair.
Upcoming Projects? = Well we now know what Kirsten's next role will be but what lies beyond that?. Well no definite schedule has been announced but Kirsten has confirmed in various interviews that the biopics of Marla Ruzicka and Debbie Harry are both in development, and that an adaptation of the book "A Jealous Ghost" is in it's early stages of development. So we'll just have to wait and see which one comes next.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Kirsten will be appearing on three TV shows in early May to promote Spider-Man
3. On May 1st she will be appearing on MTVs TRL show, along with many of the
cast from the film. The following day she will be interviewed on The Today Show,
and later in the day she will be a guest on Live With Regis And Kelly.
After that Kirsten will have a very short (and very well deserved) break to recover before starting work on "How To Lose Friends And Alienate People".

SITE NEWS
We added over 1400 photos to the gallery during April, which is possibly a new record!.
We finally got a new forum up and running. A big thank you to Johnny for taking on this task, and many thanks to Rob for his work at the forum over the years.
Jess and John went to the London Premiere of Spider-Man 3, along with Jonathan (no not John or Johnny!) who is a big fan of Kirstens. John was slightly disappointed to see that Jonathan hadn't worn the outfit he had suggested (and we're not going to expand on that!). Anyway we all had a great time and, as i'm sure you all know, once again Kirsten met Jess!. Kirsten was wonderful, so sweet with Jess and spending such a long time with (nearly!) all the fans. A mention to the rest of the cast too, especially Tobey Maguire and Topher Grace, who also were very good to the many fans present.
UPCOMING PROJECTS FOR KIRSTEN-DUNST.ORG
We'll be adding pics from the Spider-Man 3 New York Premiere and Kirstens TV appearances in New York promoting the film.
When that's all done John says he will go and see Spider-Man 3 forty six times (that may be a slight exaggeration!) and then lock himself in a darkened room for the rest of the month to recover!.
Despite this we'll spend the rest of the month adding any new pics that appear, as well as some screencaps and magazine scans.
Marc will hopefully be updating kikiclips with lots of new video files.
NEW PHOTOS INCLUDE
Beautiful pics of Kirsten at six Spider-Man 3 premieres, four photocalls, and three After Parties!.
The gorgeous Michael Muller Spider-Man 3 Promotional Photoshoot.
Kirsten at the US Press Conference for Spider-Man 3.
